Yesterday Crumb and the Storm in a Teacup

This exciting book is about a girl named yesterday who is introduced to magic. She goes on an exciting adventure to find a mournful rose. What will happen next?

This interesting new book is about a girl named Yesterday. She is no ordinary girl as she was born with fox ears and ends up being part of a circus. She secretly escapes from her tedious, unwelcoming life and is introduced to magic by a tea witch who helps her become acquainted with many new magical creatures. She then starts an adventurous quest to find a single, perfect ‘Mournful rose’. This is not as easy as it seems and a shocking twist near the end changes almost everything. What adventure will this turn into? What kind of magic will she learn?

I liked that Yesterday is helped by a range of magical things. I also like the expressive style of Andy Sagar and the magical creatures he describes. I like the people’s personalities and the different, difficult teas Yesterday learns to make. The finish surprised me as I thought it would conclude very differently and I was not too keen on the astonishing note at the end.

If you liked the Land of Stories from Chris Colfer, you will enjoy this book. The genres are fantasy, adventure and friendship. I would rate this book four stars out of five.

Yesterday Crumb has fox ears and lives in a circus. A great read.

This book was great. A girl name Yesterday Crumb lives in a circus and visitors make fun of her because she has fox ears instead of human ones. A talking crow helps her to escape and when they go into the woods, they meet an evil stranger. He tells Yesterday that he has the ability to take away her fox ears so she can look and feel like she’s a regular human like everyone else. All she has to do is agree. So when she gives him permission he tricks her and puts a splinter of ice into her heart. In one month’s time, she will freeze to death. The only way to cure it is to find a magical antidote before the time runs out…
This is an exciting and interesting book.

This is a great magical fantasy book. If you like Nevermoor or Harry Potter you should definitely read this!

This book is a magical fantasy book. It is really exciting and I really enjoyed reading it and I couldn't put it down. There is a lot of magic and the main character is called Yesterday and she is a strangeling who is a witch but she grew up in the normal world. In the book she has to try to get rid of a piece of ice in her heart. There is a very dramatic moment where she finds out who is her true parent and there is lots of magic and magic type characters. This book is a bit like Harry Potter or Nevermoor and if you liked those kind of magical type books then you should definitely read this one. I'm looking forward to seeing if there is another one in the series as I would really like to read the next adventure.

A fabulous book with flying teapots, fairies, witches, dragons, amazing adventure and lots of cake!

When I started this book it was really quite sad. Poor Yesterday Crumb was kept in a cage in a circus and being used as a freak show object because she has a pair of fox ears.
Luckily, pretty quickly she is able to escape with the help of a grumpy old raven called Madrigal.
She runs through the forest, following him to try to get to freedom and meets a strange looking man known as Mr Weep who encourages her to sign a contract. This is the start of a quest with lots of mini adventures along the way.
Yesterday meets Miss Dumpling and discovers Dwimmerly End where there are teapots flying around with magic tea and she meets a boy called Jack, who very quickly becomes her friend. Yesterday is not used to all this and finds it a bit hard to accept at times.
This is a really wonderful story. It is a bit cutsie in places, but the story helps you overcome that.
I would recommend this book to others. It is good fun and I would love to live in a magic tea shop with flying teapots and magic all around. A great story!!

Yesterday Crumb and the Storm in a Teacup is a fascinating book that is full of magical wonder and spells. Growing up in a circus, Yesterday had no idea of her exciting future as a wicked witch and when time comes to solve a problem, she is plunged into a world of magic! I love the way the story line is full of creativity and mystery. Whilst reading this book, I found it very enjoyable and exhilarating to read. This book is surrounded by fantasy, talking ravens and even flying teapots! I would love to recommend this book to anyone who loves a bit of magic and adventurous books!
