The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) is the leading Subject Association for literacy in Primary schools. Their Power of Reading Training is specifically designed for headteachers, literacy leads and teachers who want to improve their literacy practice to help support attainment as well as reading and writing for pleasure in their school.
This training also includes access to CLPE's School membership that offers whole school access to adaptable teaching plans for EYFS - Year 7 and whole school access to their online learning programme (excluding Power of Reading training).
The Power of Reading is CLPE’s proven programme that supports your school to develop a high quality literacy curriculum which fosters a whole school love of reading and writing and raises achievement in literacy.
This 4 day training programme delivered at their London Centre in Southwark, uses high quality children’s literature and proven creative teaching approaches to help teachers to plan and deliver an engaging literacy curriculum. The Power of Reading is a long standing programme which was first developed in 2005. It has a rich evidence base and has raised achievement in more than 5000 schools.
