This is a fantastic book that I would recommend for everyone. It is funny, engaging and exciting. The author is absolutely brilliant and all the books in the series are interesting.
This book is a graphic novel. It is about a family. It may look normal, but it is no ordinary family.
Please do not read or watch it if you’re not very good at handling scary series, because Spy x Family is rated as a 16+.
Here are the main characters.
Loid Forger is a spy who fights for peace between the east and west. He became a spy because he doesn’t want to see crying children who lost their family from the war. He is also a psychiatrist. There are two reasons. The first one is for camouflage. He doesn’t want people to know that he is a spy. The second one is he wants to help people who suffer from the war. The war might have ended decades ago, but there are still people who suffer from it. His code name is Twilight. His age is still unknown. He is the father.
Yor Forger is an assassin who kills bad guys. One of the hard parts of the job is that you need to memorise the photos properly because killing the wrong person is a BIG no-no. The reason why she is an assassin is because when she was younger, became an assassin to provide everything he needed for his education. And now her goal is to kill evil and vile people to make innocents' lives better. In a complete idiosyncrasy, Yor is extremely gullible, being easily fooled by the ridiculous lies Loid tells her to hide his identity. She is 27 years old. Her code name is Thorn Princess. She is the mother.
Anya Forger is a telepath (someone who can read people’s minds.) She is a failed experiment in a lab. Her name is test subject 007. Anya is a scholar in Eden academy, one of the best private schools in the country. She likes sweet food and HATES carrots. She knows who everyone is but the family doesn’t know each other’s secret identities. Her age is unknown. Many fans of the anime think that Anya’s real name is actually Aud. Her age is unknown. She is the daughter.
The family hides their own special secret in ‘normal’ everyday life (Anya knows everything though.)
Let’s move on to the story.
Threatened by Yor’s relationship with Melinda Desmond, Anya gets serious about her friendship scheme. On the way to a museum field trip, however, she and her class become the target of activists (hijackers!) looking to free their political allies…
