A gripping tale full of talking beasts, cruel kings and a quest to restore the rightful ruler to his throne, adventure does not get better than this.
This book is a delightful blend of magic and adventure - but not as you know it. Prince Caspian is the fourth book in a series of seven following the adventures of children from our world who get unexpectedly caught up in the victory’s and perils of a whole new world, Narnia the land of talking beasts home to Trumkin the dwarf, Trufflehunter the badger and many more. This adventure details Prince Caspian, the heir to the throne of Narnia, who lives with his cruel uncle Miraz - a usurper to the throne- but one night everything changes. The rest of the book follows four children from London as they unite to win Caspian’s throne back through thick and thin. In the end the fate of Narnia- and it’s inhabitants lies in the balance of one person. This is one of my favourite books in all my life and I have read it so many times I have lost count! I love Reepicheep, the gallant and heroic talking mouse, and the uniqueness he brings to the book. I would thoroughly recommend this book. If you are new to Narnia it would be best to get your parent to read to you because it was written in the old days so has complex language and has some vivid descriptions of battle.
