Charlie and the Christmas Factory

This is a beautiful collection of sequels to Roald Dahl books for example The Enormous Crocodile, The BFG and Matilda. I give this book 10 out of 5!

This is a beautiful collection of sequels to Roald Dahl books for example The Enormous Crocodile, The BFG and Matilda.

Authors like Greg James and Chris Smith, who wrote the Kid Normal series (which is one of my favourite series) and many other famous children's fiction authors write all of the stories in this book. You get to enjoy lots of different styles of writing as every story has a different author. Each story has the same characters as the original Roald Dahl books, but a surprisingly different story line; all are set at Christmas.

One of my favourite stories in the book is 'George's Marvellous Christmas' because of its marvellous (!) ending! The sequel to the original Fantastic Mr Fox story is also an excellent story as they show that you don't always have to obey unfair rules.

I give this book ten out of five stars! I had to read more whenever I finished a story because of the anticipation of what would happen next! And the next one was always up to my standards - and my standards are high!

My younger siblings really enjoyed listening to these stories with the Christmas twists on familiar stories.

I thought this was a really good book. I loved how it put a Christmas twist on Ronald Dahl books. My favourite short story in this book was the Matilda chapter I found it really funny when Matilda got punished and she said “If you’re punishing me for punishing someone else is someone going to punish you for punishing me". I would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 5 and 9 because it is not to hard to read and it is written about books they might have read.
