Marv and the Pool of Peril Reader Reviews

Marv and the Pool of Peril

This book is so funny and ridiculous that I couldn't stop reading. I read it cover to cover in one sitting and laughed a lot.

I thought Marv and the Pool of Peril was funny and silly. Marv is a very energetic character who has a super power suit. When Marv wears his suit he has super powers which he needs to catch the bad guy.

I would recommend this book for 6+ as it was amazing and children will love reading this alone or with their families.

A fun and engaging book- simply MARVellous

Marv is an engaging book with a fun story to follow. The number of words on each page makes it easily accessible and easy to engage with. The fun characters are easy to follow and it is clever how the main character links to the word MARVELLOUS! Very quirky and clever indeed!

Well written, had fantastic characters and kept me turning each page!

What the story is about
This story is about a young boy called Marvin, who does the things that ordinary boys do. However, there is something special about Marvin which makes him different from other children. Thanks to a special suit passed on to him through his family, Marvin can transform into a superhero called Marv. In this story, Marvin is going to his friend Joe's birthday at a water park when disaster strikes! A supervillain called Hydro, who gets her powers from water, invades the water park with her army of robot sharks, and it's up to Marvin to save the day!

What I liked about this story
I really liked reading this book. I especially liked the fact that Marv had a robot sidekick called Pixel. I also liked that the battle between Marv and Hydro was based in a water park because I love water parks!

Overall, I think this book was a great hit. It was well written, had fantastic characters and kept me turning each page. I think this book will go far, and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.
