Fireborn: Twelve and the Frozen Forest

I really enjoyed this book as it was unusual in its eccentric characters and plot twists.

This book follows the story of Twelve and her Friends as they attempt to find their friend Seven, who has been taken by goblins from the hunting lodge, where they all train and live. Along the way of their mission they discover things about themselves and meet lots of creatures that they could never have imagined. This book had quite a slow start but once it got going it was absolutely brilliant. This novel would take any reader on a rollercoaster of emotions. The story is immensely difficult to guess, with its unexpected twists and turns. Twelve is a unique main character with her obvious weaknesses and hidden strengths. This tale was different from anything I had ever read before.

I could NOT put this book down. It is like a vivid dream - you never want it to end. Full of frozen forests, mortifying monsters and fierce friends, this story is perfect for children who are hungry for an adventure.

When she takes the pledge, Twelve's life suddenly changes to become a life of training, fighting and monsters. Not long after this her life changes again, this time because a little girl has been taken from the Lodge. Determined to save her, Twelve teams up with Dog; a stone guardian and one of the only people who seem interested. Suddenly she is thrown into a daring and dangerous advenure full of frozen forests, mortifying monsters and fierce friends. I absoulutely loved this story, from the icy lands to the charismatic characters.

I loved this book about a girl called Twelve and some of her not quite friends Five, Six and Seven. They end up having a great adventure and learning new things and respect for each other. I can’t wait for the rest of the trilogy.

The cover and the title of this book drew me in straight away, it’s just the kind of thing I like. It’s quite a chunky book, but it’s broken into chapters so you can easily read a section at a time. The only problem is, I just kept thinking ‘one more chapter’ and then before you know it you’ve read loads!
This is a story about a girl called Twelve. That isn’t her real name, but it’s what they call her at the Lodge where she is training to be a Hunter. She and a younger girl called Seven end up in trouble and are sent to the dungeons for the night, but through the night the dungeons are broken into by Goblins and Seven is kidnapped and the Lodge under serious attack.
Twelve decides she must go and rescue Seven as she feels responsible for her circumstances. She ends up on her quest with Five and Six, two boys from the lodge and also the Lodge Guardian, Dog.
They meet some other characters on their journey and learn some interesting facts about each other and themselves. I think Seven and Twelve are going to develop into two awesome friends.
I loved this book and I absolutely cannot wait for the next parts of the trilogy. I would recommend this book it really is fun!

This novel is a mixed bag of terrifying creatures, two annoying but always hilarious characters and out-of-the-blue betrayal.

Fireborn is a fantastic book about a huntling named Twelve, that trained at camp, until a sudden and unexpected attack pushes her to take action. When a classmate called Seven suddenly goes missing, presumably kidnapped by the goblins, Twelve decides to follow the goblin tracks but is joined by her least favourite and possible enemies, Six and Five.

As they journey across various regions, on the back of legendary talking stone creature Dog, they meet some nightmarish creatures who try to destroy their hopes of saving Seven. However, who is to know what is going on back at camp? The novel was brilliant, and the ending was like a cliff-hanger, which makes me hope there will be sequel to this mysterious story.

This is an adventure packed story, it has kept me hooked for days and I am loving the series so far.

Follow Twelve on an epic journey to save Seven. When trolls attack, one of elder’s is killed. When Twelve discovers that the trolls have taken Seven, she and her friend squirrel (a present from Seven) set off on a terrifying adventure. Will Twelve survive?

This is an adventure packed story, it has kept me hooked for days and I am loving the series so far. The book is full of surprises and twists, and overall, it is a nice book. I loved this book along with all of its pictures which bought the story to life before my own eyes. I enjoyed the book completely and I hope you will too.

Magical creatures, unexpected twists, fantasy fiction.

Fireborn, a fantasy fiction book, has an interesting plot with lots of unexpected twists. The main character is Twelve, a girl whose family has died. She now lives in the Hunting Lodge with other huntlings, as they are called, learning to fight with the help of the Elders. When Seven is kidnapped by goblins, Twelve, Five and Six (other huntlings) and Dog, the living statue that fights for the lodge, set off to find her. They encounter many magical creatures, good or bad, on the way.
I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes magical creatures. I think it would also be enjoyable if you like Harry Potter.
