If you like stories about adventure, nature, and unlikely friendships, you’ll love Bigfoot Mountain.
I really enjoyed Bigfoot Mountain. It’s about a girl called Minnie who moves to the mountains with her stepdad after her mum dies. At first, she feels lonely and sad, but then she discovers something amazing – Bigfoot, or Sasquatches, actually live in the forest near her home!
The story is told from two sides: Minnie’s and a young Sasquatch. It was good to see how the Sasquatches live and how they feel about humans cutting down their trees. It would definitely encourage younger readers to think more about how we should take care of animals and nature.
Minnie’s life was really interesting, too. She doesn’t like her stepdad at first, but as the story goes on, they start to understand each other better. She was brave and clever, especially when she had to protect the Sasquatches from danger.
The descriptions of the forest were so vivid, I could almost imagine being there. Sometimes the story was a bit slow, but it always picked up again with something exciting or emotional. If you like stories about adventure, nature, and unlikely friendships, you’ll love Bigfoot Mountain.
