My Encyclopedia of Very Important Adventures

I loved this fun, bright and interesting book! Set out like a scrapbook of exciting events through world history, it is filled with incredible adventurers, scientists and daredevils. It made me want to keep reading and then go out and have adventures of my own!

I really loved this book. It is full of really interesting facts and not a single one of them is boring! It is the the sort of book you can pick up and read for a while then come back to later on and still find it just as fun and interesting. I like the fact that it looks like a scrapbook, with the paperclips and fun pictures. It looks bright and fun and colourful. Even the cover really grabs your attention with all the details and exciting facts from different periods of history. The cover really makes you want to pick up this book and then once you do, you just want to keep reading. I kept picking it up meaning to read just one page but then I'd end up reading lots! I also like the fact that it starts right back in 1458 and then carries on in chronological order until at the end it is in the year 2000. I especially liked the bit near the end with the motorbike daredevil, Evel Knievel.

I really loved this fun, exciting and colourful book and I think that lots of other people will too!

Great encyclopedia about all sorts of adventurous topics. Full of colour and information, it would make a great Christmas present for older primary school children.

This is a really colourful book full of pictures and photos about lots of different things. I really like discovering new things everytime I open the book, especially about space. The book is enormous and so I learn something new everytime I open it up. I think this would make a great Christmas present for boys and girls like me.

Fascinating and compelling with so much to read and learn. We loved reading this together as a family!

We absolutely loved reading this book together as a family! We went through reading a few pages every night before bed and the boys were completely transfixed! There was a double page spread on each explorer/adventurer with interesting facts and information about them, as well as captivating pictures. It was good that a lot were more obscure rather than ones we made have already heard of as we all learnt lots. We would definitely read any other books in this series as it was so interesting and informative!
Aidan 8 - I really like learning about history and amazing people so this was really interesting. My favourite explorer was Roald Amundsen because he he made it to the South Pole and I think he was so brave!
Milo 5 - Yuri Gagarin was my favourite because he was the first person in space. There was lots of different new stuff in the book and I liked knowing about them.

Crammed full of facts, lots of amazing pictures and fantastic adventure.

We absolutely loved this book- so many different adventures, so many amazing facts and stories. Sam's favourite section was the Space one but we all really enjoyed the whole book and learnt a lot from it.

Sam loved taking this for show and tell at school and his classmates had fun looking at the different adventures. The pictures are fantastic and it is crammed full of facts.

We felt this book was great for kids age 5 upwards to share with an adult and children age 7 plus to read independently.

This factual book is jam-packed full of fun facts and interesting discoveries. It includes lots of colourful illustrations, details about people and buildings and quirky facts.

This factual book is jam-packed full of fun facts and interesting discoveries. It includes lots of colourful illustrations and quirky facts. There are 5 different sections: Daredevils and Risk Takers, Trailblazers and Pioneers, Explorers and Discoverers, Scientists and Inventors, Builders, Creators and Thinker. This layout makes it easier to find out more about areas that you are curious about and find quotes from remarkable people.

The Encyclopedia is mainly about people but includes some famous buildings and historic sites. These few errors didn’t spoil the book. I learnt about some new fascinating daredevils I would say that this book is a 7+ because some little kids might not know places like Dubai or some people like Christopher Columbus. I would rate this book 4* out of 5* or an 8 out of ten because it’s very overall it is interesting but some pages are more intriguing than others. I found reading one or two pages a night a good way to really remember the facts
