A World Book Day Illustrator 2019
Simon Rickerty has been drawing pictures and creating characters ever since he can remember. In 2006 he graduated from The Royal College of Art with a masters degree in Communication Art and Design.
His first picture book, Peas! by Andy Cullen, was published by Puffin Books in 2009 and following its launch Simon was shortlisted for the ‘Best New Emerging Illustrator’ category in the Booktrust Early Years Award.
Simon’s second picture book, Unfortunately, written by Alan Durant was published by Hachette Children’s Books in 2010.
His latest title I Don’t Want to be a Pea! by Ann Bonwill is published by OUP.
