Gill Smith - Illustrator

Gill Smith is a freelance illustrator. She completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2019. Ordinary life and wondering about people’s experiences preoccupy Gill and motivate her illustrations. Gill also works with the collective More Than Minutes, who capture conferences and events through large-scale live drawing.

In 2023 Gill was shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize with her work on Saving the Butterfly: A Story About Refugees.
