Where Did the Moon Go? Synopsis

Text in Arabic. Many years ago, during a lunar eclipse, a young boy witnesses the moon disappear from the dark night sky. But where did it go? His mother tells him a fantastical tale in which the moon is swallowed whole by a massive whale. And if he doesnt throw it up, the moon will never grace the velvet nights sky again. Terrified of that very thought, he seeks out his teacher who explains simply the facts about eclipses and how the moon disappeared behind the shadow of the earth. Caught between the world of wonder and imagination and the world of scientific fact, this true story based on the authors personal experience shows how he embraced both ideas and wove it into the fabric of this wonderful story.
