ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Being different is special!
"Pepita is special. Mom and dad have always explained it to us. But what I really think is that she has something special, and I don't mean that chromosome that we can't see, but her special way of loving us and making us laugh. I only wish the rest of the world could see her the way Juan and I do: as someone just like us but with a special something."
This illustrated book arises from the need to tell a family's story. Through her Instagram page, Pepita's mother has sought to normalize her family's day to day life to show that children with special abilities are not a problem, but can become a source of happiness and harmony in the home. This book, narrated by Pepita's sister, makes evident the important work that we have, as parents and educators, to teach and sensitize our children to those who are different from us.
