Knight Sir Louis has fought evil wizards, potatoes, dragons, gnomes, slime monsters and a giant snowball, but can he defeat the Cauldron of Chaos, especially with his trusty sword Dave needing magical repairs? Expect more silliness, surprises, haikus (provided by Clunkie, Louis’ flying robot horse) and, of course, lots of adventure.

These stories are deservedly hugely popular and with characters such as the celery-guarding Were-Whoodles, part Poodle, part Wheaten terrier, part Werewolf, and replacement sword Steve Jabs, who is great on research and providing helpful suggestions, but nothing like Dave when it comes to fighting, this episode is everything fans have come to love: wonderfully funny, deliciously absurd and thoroughly exciting. Readers won’t want this adventure to end.

This book is brilliant and silly and funny. I really liked the crazy story and all the pictures. Me and my mum laughed a lot.

I loved this book. My mum read it to me every evening and we both laughed so much together. I liked the story which is a huge adventure with witches, a knight and an evil cauldron and it was really silly with lots of funny things happening. I liked the names best as there is a sword called Dave (full name Senator Jibber Jabber Ticket Flick it Sprocket Wicket Dingle David) and a boar called Catalogue. This book was spooky and has witches which I like but not scary because it is funny. I liked the fact that it was a long story but with lots of pictures too so it didn't ever get boring and there's even a bit where you can choose what happens next.... Read Full Review

Very funny and full of adventure!

I loved the book, I read it much faster than I thought I would because it was so funny and exciting. My favourite character was Dave, the sword.

The characters went on so many adventures, and met some interesting characters and people - even Mr. No-body who was so funny.... Read Full Review
