As a year one teaching assistant I thoroughly enjoyed this book and think it would make a great addition to any school library. The illustration is perfect for each poem with the use of rich colours, the poems are short so will hold a child attention. My particular favourite was the shopping trip, so true of christmas shopping days. I highly recommend.

I love the illustrations and I'm sure that young children will too.

There's a great selection of rhymes covering all aspects of Christmas so there will be lots to talk about with your little ones.

A definite winner of a stocking filler!

'Very Merry Christmas' is Hadley James' third book in her series 'Poems for Primary Schools'. It's full of fun and beautifully (and colourfully) illustrated, covering all the activities we look forward to so much in the festive season, no matter what our age. The poems are perfect for sharing and reading aloud with primary age children, with the acrostic being my particular favourite.... Read Full Review
