‘He’s behind you!’ stories never fail to entertain and there’s lots of fun to be had in this bright, attractive picture book. Little Fluff is on his way to meet a friend for a picnic. As he strolls along the jungle river bank he’s totally oblivious to the large green crocodile lurking in the water. We can all see it of course, and so fortunately can the other animals. Children will love shouting warnings as again and again, in the nick of time, the little duckling is hoiked out of the crocodile’s jaws. There are more surprises instore too before Little Fluff gets to enjoy his picnic. ~Andrea Reece
A Piece of Passion from Leilani Sparrow, editor at Boxer Books Croc? What Croc? is a lovely fun story - the idea that there’s someone behind you adds just the right amount of tension and excitement to this adorably illustrated picture book. Little Fluff is oblivious to the danger, the lurking croc, behind him as he walks to meet his friend. To the other animals and the reader the hungry croc is all too obvious, making the children squeal with laughter as they join in with the refrain - ‘Croc!’ to try and warn Little Fluff.
Follow Little Fluff ’s journey as he takes a walk through the jungle and meets various friends on the way. Why is everyone shouting “Croc!”? A fun book with a short, repetitive read-aloud story.
