Illustrated throughout in soft pencil, the red and white stripes of the hat provide a bright focus in each illustration, keeping the spotlight on the dog. About Kate Prendergast
Born and bred in North London Kate Prendergast first studied design at Middlesex University. After years of working in the transport industry and raising a son and daughter Kate’s growing interest in Illustration led to an MA degree in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Dog On A Digger is Kate’s second book after completing the Cambridge course. Her debut, Dog On A Train, was long-listed for the inaugural Klaus Flugge award.
