When a huge sink hole nearly kills Griffin and his mother, everything falls apart. With his mum in a coma, he has to stay with his uncle. His cousin, Cinnamon, doesn't want him there, but 'neat freak' Griffin can't help falling for her pet rat, Ruby Ruby. Why don't his mother and uncle speak to each other? Is it because of the Jewelled Jaguar, a fabulous dagger his mother found diving, that is about to go on display in the museum?
