A tender story about coming home at the end of a wonderful day out, for fathers and their toddlers to share together. The shared delight of a baby bear and its father is celebrated in each of the bold pictures, each of which captures a special moment in their day together. A great Father’s Day present.
A Piece of Passion from Publisher, David Bennett, Boxer Books As a young art director, I waved a big flag for more books about dads and their kids. As a publisher, I am so pleased to be able to provide such beautifully observed books by Sebastien Braun. Sebastien is a creative powerhouse. You only have to look at the different styles he has produced for Boxer to see that. I am very proud to have been his first publisher with two enormously successful books. He has an energy that keeps you on your toes - and is prolific - a fantastic challenge for a creative director like me. The end result is always fantastic. He is a polished act - and a successful one.
Daddy Bear and Baby Bear walk home through the forest. On the way, they see many wonderful things - the golden leaves falling from the trees, the big red sun going down and the beautiful stars twinkling overhead.
French Illustrator Sebastien Braun studied fine and applied arts at Strasbourg University.
He then taught applied arts before becoming a freelance illustrator, first of all for editorial clients in Paris. When Sebastien moved to London in 2000 he developed his illustrations for children and since then has been working exclusively on children’s picture books.
He has a rare ability to combine rich painting techniques with soft and tender observational drawing, perfect for picture books. Sebastien lives with his wife and two sons in London.
