Alphabet is an extraordinary journey into letters created by one of the world's most celebrated illustrators, Kvita Pacovska. The book comes in an die-cut slipcase and its design includes a rich concoction of textures, reflections, windows, foils, die-cuts and pop-ups for each letter of the alphabet. Pacovska takes the art of the picture book to new levels, absorbing art lovers of all ages into a playful and imaginative new world.
Kvita Pacovska was born in Prague in 1928. In 1992, she won the Hans Christian Andersen Award, the highest and most prestigious international distinction in literature for young people, for her lifetime achievement in art.
