Amy Sparkes writes for children of all ages. Her picture books have been shortlisted for several book awards, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2013 and the Booktrust Best Books Awards 2014. Amy was born in Eastbourne and enjoyed a wild imagination when she was a child (which included 13 imaginary friends). She is passionate about encouraging imagination in children and is often invited to visit schools. She regularly produces the 'Writing for Children' pages for the bestselling Writing Magazine and also runs writing workshops for aspiring chidren's authors.
Amy lives in Devon with her husband and five young children. When she's not off on an adventure with them, Amy enjoys drinking tea and climbing trees.
