Madcap and funny adventure involving a boy called Joe and an undead hamster and only Joe can do something about it.
Joe's uncle is an explorer and traveller and on his return from Egypt he brings Joe a gift - an amulet. Joe loves it as it looks like a dog and as his mum is allergic he's not allowed one. As his uncle departs for yet another adventure he tells Joe that the amulet is very special and it will grant him a wish! That was easy as far as Joe was concerned - he had to have a pet so that is what he wished for. That's when the problems started. Scratching noises under his bed and Joe came face to face with a hamster - an undead one that had got stuck between life and death... and all because of the amulet. And only Joe could sort it. Join him on his very funny adventures.
When Joe Edmunds makes a wish on an Egyptian amulet, little does he know that he has volunteered to guide and defend the undead pet inhabitants of his town! She lives with her husband, two children and several pets in a small house with a big garden. Simon Cooper has illustrated many children's books, including the award-winning Ghost of Uncle Arvie.
