A stunning picture book from a wonderfully talented new children’s artist. Colin the cat is a very appealing protagonist, but he has a problem. Somebody has borrowed his shadow and given him someone else’s. Join Colin as he tracks down and then negotiates with the borrower – a mouse of all things to reclaim his shadow.
Colin wakes up one day from a snooze to find that he has the wrong shadow! No one will take Colin seriously any more. The other cats all laugh at him and the beaky birds don't even look up from their bath! Then Colin solves the mystery - Vernon mouse had switch-swapped shadows with Colin as Colin's cat shadow gives him confidence and makes him feel important. Can Colin persuade Vernon to switch-swap back and show his new friend that everyone is important?
