A delightful introduction to a very special creature! Two children find a very unusual creature in their garden. What on earth can it be? They try asking it but it is always asleep. They trying asking dad but he doesn’t have a clue. They try looking in books but they can’t find anything that is exactly right…After lots of imaginative thoughts about the sloth’s former life, the children discover just where their sleepy new friend comes from. Glorious illustrations capture the sleepy sloth and the imagined places he might come from as well as the place he really belongs in which is where he finally wakes up! ~ Julia Eccleshare
A group of children find a sloth snoring away in a tree in their garden. Not knowing what it is, they set off to find out. While the two older children dream up increasingly outrageous possibilities, from an astronaut to a pirate, to a space creature, the youngest little girl investigates books and a globe and discovers what it really is and where it lives. But how can the children help the sloth to get home if it won't wake up?
