Little girls with ‘out of control’ hair will love this story of Ellie, whose hair is always out of control, so much so that she’s determined, along with her best friend Oscar, the Rabbit, to find someone in the world who has the same problem. Failing to do so she comes home and begins to realise that her hair is special and that she needs to learn to love this individuality. The big, bold imagery is superb.
Ellie is a little girl who is full of confidence and attitude. She knows what she likes (her pet rabbit, Oscar!) and what she doesn't (her hair!). Oscar is her chilled-out, care-free rabbit who goes with her on her adventures. One day, when Ellie gets completely fed up with trying to tame her wild and colourful hair, she storms out of her treehouse to search the world on her scooter, looking for someone with similar hair. Oscar goes along for the ride. Having had no success (after going around the world 4 times!), Ellie and Oscar get lost. Fortunately their friends rescue the duo after spotting Ellie's massive and colourful hair from high up in a helicopter. Ellie learns to love her hair and to be happy to be different, after all, without her hair she would never have been rescued!
