A perfect collection of stories for pre-school children to share and devour with parents from The Ugly Duckling and The Gingerbread Man to The Timid Hare and The Three Little Pigs to name just four.
Wonderfully vibrant illustrations will have all children hooting with laughter.
Slightly older children will also relish the opportunity of reading this delightful collection on their own.
Following the success of "The Story Tree", this anthology includes seven stories and less-familiar favourites that are of interest to younger children. Entertaining illustrations and easy-to-follow text enable it to be read aloud.
On good days, Stella Blackstone lives east of the sun and west of the moon. On less good days, she lives at the bottom of a well. She finds ideas in all of these places and turns them into songs, poems and rhymes. She has read and written poetry for as long as she can remember, and her favourite books include Louis Untermeyer’s A Child’s Treasury of Poetry, which was a constant companion throughout her childhood, Paolo Coelho’s The Alchemist, everything by T.S. Eliot, and William Buck’s translation of The Ramayana. She lives in southwest England, and enjoys walking and working in her garden as well as doing nothing whenever she has the chance.
