Dugald Steer Press Reviews
"The most enchanting history book of all, however, is Egyptology. Purporting to be the diaries of Miss Emily Sands, an archaeologist in 1926 it contains a mysterious curse, a game of senet, many glorious foldout surprises and much information. The burnished gold cover with its jewelled Horus enthrals children even before they open it and bring the past to life – which is of course what all history books should do, and rarely manage." - The Times
"A jewel of a book, covering everything a child could want to know about Ancient Egypt. This substantial hardback book is a fictional journal of an old woman’s trip to Egypt in November 1926. There are replica photos, postcards, tickets, maps, weather charts and so much more. The attention to detail is amazing and well worth the higher price tag." - Angels & Urchin
