Best loved Gaspard the Fox is back for another heart-warming and magical adventure.
Out on a bitterly cold and snowy night around Christmas, Gaspard comes across an old man with a white beard who is trying to keep warm while lying on the street with only an old coat around him. Immediately seeing that he needs help, Gaspard first snuggles up to the old man to give him warmth and then summons his friends Finty the dog and Peter the cat to get help. The clever animals quickly get their people involved and soon the old man is restored to health and safety inside a local church.
Gaspard, Finty and Peter all get a small reward but their real reward is knowing that they have saved a life by their quick thinking and their kindness. The clear message about supporting those who are less fortunate is reinforced by donations from sales of the book going to the St-Martins-in-the-Fields homeless charity.

About Zeb Soanes
Zeb Soanes is a trusted newsreader and comforting voice of the Shipping Forecast on BBC Radio 4. Sunday Times readers voted him their favourite male voice on UK radio. On television he launched BBC Four, where he presented the BBC Proms. He has written for The Observer, Country Life, and The Literary Review and his best-selling first book for children, Gaspard the Fox began a series of stories based on the real urban fox that visits him at home in London.
He has become ‘the go-to person for music narration, specialising in children’s concerts’ (Daily Telegraph), performing favourite orchestral works including Peter and the Wolf, Babar the Elephant and Paddington. In recognition of his efforts to culturally rehabilitate the urban fox, he was made the first patron of the Mammal Society.
