Sunshine’s life is always full of surprises and adventures – even if she is never far from home. This time, however, she really is far from home as she and the whole family are off to Jamaica for the holiday of a lifetime and all because her Auntie Sharon won a huge amount of money on the lottery.
It’s a great adventure for Sunshine and it gives her the chance to see the country where her grandparents grew up. But, when her father lands the plan for a surprise wedding in her lap, she realises that she’ll have a lot more to do than just have fun.

About
Sunshine Simpson: Friends Always and Forever Synopsis
Sunshine Simpson is off on the holiday of a lifetime! Her Auntie Sharon has won the lottery, and she's taking the whole family to JAMAICA! Sunshine can't wait for sun, fun, and seeing the country where her grandparents grew up.
There's also a secret wedding to organise for Sunshine's parents - the perfect distraction from thinking about starting secondary school.
But then everything starts going wrong! Auntie Sharon is sick and can't be a bridesmaid, they only have chicken and chips for the wedding banquet and Sunshine has to become chief wedding planner.
Will it be an island disaster, or can Sunshine pull off the wedding of the century?
G.M. Linton effortlessly weaves in themes of transition to secondary school and discovering your heritage in the third installment of a series that is warm, gently funny and beautifully child-centred. The first title, My Name is Sunshine Simpson, published to critical acclaim in May 2023 winning the Wolverhampton Children’s Book Award. The second title, Sunshine Simpson Cooks Up a Storm was a Times Children’s Book of the Week.

About G.M. Linton
G.M. Linton found her way back to her first loves of reading and creative writing after decades of ignoring the two - and now enjoys nothing better than snatching time to read a good book and losing herself whilst imagining characters and storylines. She is particularly inspired by her parents, who arrived in Britain, from Jamaica, as part of the Windrush generation, in the 1950s. G.M. Linton lives with her family in the West Midlands. She can be found happily snacking on stuffed green olives and may be partial to a slice of cake or two.
