Everyone’s favourite little dragon is back in a new story, once again delivering an important life lesson simply and with real charm. Like many of his young fans, Fergal sometimes tells fibs. Mostly, they don’t matter that much, and nobody gets hurt, but when he accidentally breaks a window in Bear’s bakery and the blame lands on Fox, that’s different.
Fergal knows how upset Fox is, and the situation is making him feel awful too, like there’s a heavy weight in his tummy. Fortunately, telling the truth can start to make everything better. Starling presents the moral with a typically light touch, and there’s reassurance throughout in the presence of Fergal’s friends and from the happy ending.
Children will easily identify with little Fergal and learn lots from his behaviour, all of it useful.
The 4th in the Fergal series sees our favourite fiery dragon face to face with his conscience after he tells a huge lie.
Fergal has discovered that he can tell a little lie and get away with it. But when he accidentally smashes the bakery window with his football, he tells a really big lie and his friend gets into big trouble. Fergal is out of hot water for now, but he feels terrible.
Will coming clean be enough to get rid of the funny feeling in his tummy?
Rob began doodling creatures and characters at school and hasn't stopped since. He lives and works in Bristol, and when he's not sketching up new characters or writing down stories he can be found sculpting, brewing coffee, adjusting his headphones or foraging in the kitchen for cake. Oh, and teaching kids. Fergal is Fuming is his first book.
