A wonderful story of friendship and first experience. The snow is falling and poor frog is both excited and confused. Where will he find water to wash, he doesn't have clothes to keep warm and he is getting very cold, made worse because he loses his way in the snow, and completely exhausted lies down and gets colder and colder. Thankfully, some animals find him, take him home and look after him until Spring and by then Frog is back to his cheerful self, and of course grateful too.
Frog is taken by surprise when winter comes. He doesn't understand why everything is covered with white and he skids and slips on the icy pond. He is too cold to take part in any of the joyous fun that Duck is having skating or that Hare is having throwing snowballs. The animals band together to equip Frog for enjoying winter, and later they share in his rejoicing when spring arrives.
Frog is an inspired creation - a masterpiece of graphic simplicity. Guardian
This is one of a series of books about Frog; look out also for Frog Finds a Friend, with the same trademark exploration of the emotional highs and lows with which all small children are familiar. -- Yvonne Coppard Armadillo Magazine
