Interest Age 9+ Reading Age 8+. A brilliantly taut ghost story based on a blurb by a Year 6 boy from a Liverpool primary school who won a city-wide competition. A real page turner and a roller coaster ride that’s an excellent title for the reluctant, struggling or dyslexic reader of 9+ but particularly for those whose reading age is nearer 8+. Alan Gibbons has won numerous awards including the Blue Peter award and has been shortlisted for the most prestigious book award, the Carnegie Medal.
