S. M. Hall is the author of four books for young teens published by Scholastic: When you Can't Say No, Don't Forget to Dance, No Fear and Knife Edge. She has taught speech and drama and has recently been involved in staging a musical in Qatar involving twenty nationalities. She has also done freelance journalism including a column for the Guardian when she was living in the States. She has recently become custodian of Sir Paul McCartney's childhood home in Liverpool for the National Trust. Her husband, who was in the rock business, is custodian of John Lennon's childhood home.
