About

Bringing Asha Home Synopsis

It's Rakhi - the Hindu holiday where brothers celebrate their sisters - and Arun is sad that he doesn't have anyone to celebrate with. Fortunately, it isn't long before his parents announce that they are going to adopt a baby girl, Asha, from India. The family prepares for Asha's arrival, not realising that it will be a full year before Asha is cleared to enter the country. Arun is impatient, but, before long, his creative brain kicks in and he finds a way to feel connected with Asha: he makes a paper plane for her every day and stores them to give to her when she arrives.
