In a Nutshell: | Queen against Queen | Sister against Sister | Weight of Fate
Epic new series in which being crowned queen is a deadly curse.
Triplet sisters, all queens and heir to the crown of Fennbirn Island, are separated as children in order to develop powers that might one day aid their obligatory quest to reign supreme. Mirabella is an elemental, with command over fire, water and wind. Poisoner Katharine seeks to develop an ability to ingest the deadliest of poisons, while naturalist Arsinoe works to cultivate control over plants and animals. But only Mirabella seems able to exercise her power, and yet all three must fight to the death: only the last sister standing may become the Queen Crowned.
There's decadent glamour from the outset of this sumptuous new sequence of books, such as the champagne and snake accessories described in the opening chapter, and the world building swells steadily to reveal scenes of heart-stopping action. Think Game of Thrones with added sibling sparring (to put it mildly!), fans of Sarah J. Maas and Leigh Bardugo will undoubtedly devour this deliciously dark tome. ~ Joanne Owen

About
Three Dark Crowns Synopsis
In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomach-ache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of beasts. But becoming the Queen Crowned isn't solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it's not just a game of win or lose ...it's life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins. The last queen standing gets the crown.
Enthralling, sexy, dark and powerfully evocative, Three Dark Crowns is the incredible new novel from Kendare Blake, the bestselling author of Anna Dressed in Blood. With the burning tension, unforgettable characters, and sweeping epic drama, it will captivate readers who enjoyed Half Bad and Game of Thrones and is set to be one of the most hotly anticipated YA novel of the Autumn.
