Usborne’s touchy-feely books are perfect for babies and very young children. The illustrations are bright and attractive, just busy enough to catch the eye, with lots of things to point out and name. Each page features a touchy-feely patch too – the little witch’s boots are shiny, her hat is fuzzy and her cat is fluffy. These tactile, strokable patches are not just an added treat but a means to develop sensory awareness alongside the language skills being learned. As ever the characters are smiley and hugely appealing. ~Andrea Reece
There are five friendly witches to meet in this Halloween addition to the much-loved That's not my... series. Babies and toddlers will love turning the pages and touching the textured patches as they try to find their witch. The bright pictures and textured patches to stroke are designed to help develop sensory and language awareness.
“Younger babies in particular will adore all the different materials, especially the fluffy ones, used in this board book.” I magazine, The Independent
“That's Not My Teddy by Fiona Watt and Rachel Wells is another addition to the wonderful Touchy-Feely series. This is a sturdy, well-made book that encourages tactile and visual interaction with the youngest of readers. The bold colour and bright illustrations encourage investigation of the 'feely' element of the book, as each child searches for their teddy. This exploration of differing textures helps promote sensory awareness for the very young. Summary: Bold, bright colours and illustrations, coupled with textual repetition, made this a firm favourite with the youngest children in the nursery.' ” Nursery Education Plus
“Children will love to cuddle up and share this book. The brightly coloured pictures are perfect for young children.” Parents in Touch
