LoveReading4Kids Says
This is a book specifically written for teachers and school leaders. There are lots of in-depth relevant discussions covering all areas of the profession, including CPD, behaviour, leadership, pastoral care, and the future of teaching. There are serious themes but also some amusing and thought-provoking anecdotes.
Naylor’s style of writing is supportive and encouraging.
What I like about this book is its inclusivity and the approachable way it is written. It offers practical guidance in a series of relevant chapters, personal anecdotes, and information from other educators. The topics are both topical and insightful and applicable to all educators of all age groups, wherever you are in your career, or your position on the education ladder.
Each chapter is clear and can be read in depth, but it is also written so you can dip in, read the subheadings, quotes, marked with a microphone symbol, and ‘Naylor’s nuggets’ which summarise each chapter.
There are also excerpts from the podcasts that you can access by scanning the QR code. It is a very relatable book for us all and I am sure any educator will find tips and strategies that they can use in their teaching.
Naylor's Natter is available at Bloomsbury for £13.99, currently with a website price saving of £6.
