Thea’s Christmas visit to Norway to try and connect with her absent father, Henry, looks set to be a disaster. But when Thea befriends a sleeping bear whom she has disturbed she unleashes a wonderful, wintery adventure. Finding friends who understand her love for the bear and her belief that it is harmless, Thea works out an ambitious plan to confuse the hunters and save the bear. The perfect winter read.
The Good Bear is a beautiful story and one which I really loved reading! Thea has a brilliant imagination and loves writing. She also loves spending Christmas with her mum. But, when Thea has to visit her father for Christmas in Norway and celebrate Christmas the way his new family does, the magic starts to fade. That is until she meets a bear in the woods, and suddenly, life is a lot more exciting and offers more inspiration for her story writing!

This is a gorgeous wintry warm loving story that shows that friendship can be found wherever and whenever it is needed.
This book is absolutely wonderful. It almost feels like a warm snuggly bear. It was really easy to read. I liked the short chapters, but that didn’t mean I put it down a lot because I just got engrossed in the story and then I couldn’t put it down.
This is a story about Thea whose mum and dad are divorced and living in different countries. Thea goes on a plane to spend one Christmas with her dad and his new family in Norway. A book that makes you want to read more and not stop.
The book tells the tale of a young girl who travels to see her father in a foreign country during Christmas time. Here she meets a bear but as the story unfolds the book begins to get more exciting, especially when the bear is in danger.
