LoveReading4Kids Says
Sophisticated, surreal and wonderfully anarchic, this is another brilliant picture book from Mini Grey. They may not look it, but Abra and Cadabra are bad bunnies. They’ve locked the Great Hypno up in his trunk and taken over his magic show, promising it will be fast, and dangerous, and not for the faint-hearted. What follows is indeed a triumph of prestidigitation as they perform magic acts of skill and daring, concluding it all with a mass hypnotism. With the help of his sawn-in-half assistant Brenda, the Great Hypno restores order – though the stage is definitely left for the bunnies to cause more mischief. Grey’s pictorial invention and skill at characterisation fill this with treats for readers of all ages. Pure magic! ~ Andrea Reece
