Emma Carlisle captures all the happiness and excitement felt by a child on a day out at the beach, and adds some extra drama too in this charming picture book. Little Bear describes a day out at the seaside, playing on the beach with his parents, taking a boat trip, flying a kite. It stops being fun when he loses Mum and Dad but he cleverly flies his kite to help them find him again. The warm golden tones conjure up the feel of a sunny summer’s day and the illustrations are full of life and energy. Little Bear is a real character too. ~ Andrea Reece
Mummy Bear has packed the towels, Daddy Bear has packed the parasol and Little Bear is bringing his brand new kite! But the beach can be a busy place, so when Little Bear gets lost his parents hunt high and low. But a clever little bear with a brand new kite won't stay lost for long. All he needs is a strong sea breeze...
