"Sparkling new Magic Faraway Tree adventures, written by a true fan."
Hands up if you love – or loved – the Magic Faraway Tree stories? Jacqueline Wilson adored them as a child and has written new adventures for the characters with all the love and understanding that only a true fan can bring.
In these new stories, the lucky children who become friends with Silky, Moonface, the Saucepan Man, and other residents of the Tree, are Milo, Mia and Birdy. They have just as much fun as their predecessors and amongst the magical lands they find at the top of the Faraway Tree are the Land of Sunshine – very appealing in the depths of a wet winter – and the Land of Toys, but amidst all the excitement, best of all is a meeting with Santa himself!
Everything that makes the original stories such favourites with readers is here – amazing lands to explore, the thrills of climbing up and sliding down the tree, delicious food, especially the out-of-this world sweets, and the boundless freedom the children enjoy; all this without the prejudices that were ingrained in Blyton’s original.
With lively illustrations by Mark Beech, this will be a jolly addition to any Christmas stocking and a very happy Christmas read.

A very exciting Christmassy adventure, that makes you intrigued as to what adventures will come next. I really enjoyed this book
I have really enjoyed the story because it made me feel Christmassy, because there are three different lands; the land of Christmas, the land of the frozen north and it even went to the land of toys which was in Santa's workshop with all the elves, Santa and even the reindeer. It was really enjoyable, as it was like I was actually on the adventure with Milo, Mia, Birdy, Moonface, Silky and Pippinas. It was really good that they were all helping each other throughout the whole adventure. After the story had finished It made me really think and wonder what could happen next.
I read this book by myself and only needed a few words to be explained, so I think that it would be perfect for an adult to read it to anyone aged four and older.... Read Full Review
This is an amazing sequel to Enid Blyton's The Faraway Tree. However many stars I am given to rate this book with I will still want to rate it over that limit!
This is an amazing sequel to Enid Blyton's The Faraway Tree. It is about three children called Mia, Milo and Birdy who go on a Christmas holiday to a quaint cottage by the edge of the Enchanted Wood. In the middle of the Enchanted Wood there is an imposing tree that reaches up into the clouds called the Faraway Tree. When they scale the Faraway Tree, they meet their friends including Moonface, Pippin and Silky who take them up to the top of the tree and climb the ladder through the clouds into mysterious magical lands. The first land that they find is the Land of Sunshine where anything good can happen but nothing bad ever happens.... Read Full Review
