LoveReading4Kids Says
There’s a truly adorable - and inspirational – protagonist in Michelle Robinson and Deborah Allwright’s new picture book.
Hector Voltaire is someone who believes in the wonderful, no matter how much the other children tease him, and he’s ready to go looking for it. Top of his to-find list is the Thunk, blue-ish-pink fur, a trunk, highly pungent odour, and ‘ever so slightly, completely extinct’, if they ever existed at all that is. Opinion is divided on that, but Hector is undeterred, indeed, even driven on by the rest of the world’s scepticism. As a reward, he gets the best happy-every-after a boy like him could want.
Funny, poignant, uplifting, with a rhyming text that is a joy to read aloud, this is a story to warm the hearts of all readers.

About Michelle Robinson
Michelle Robinson grew up in Gloucestershire and loved making up stories and being silly. She put that to good use by getting a job as a copywriter. She wrote over 6000 radio adverts before moving on to television and the web and devised websites for big brands like Coca-Cola, Guinness and Cadburys. She soon got bored though, which is when she started writing funny stories for children and their parents to enjoy reading umpteen times. Her picture book There's a Lion in My Cornflakes won the Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards. Michelle lives in Frome with her husband, young son and daughter and a tragically empty tin of Quality Street.
