The Higher Institute of Villainous Education, or H.I.V.E as it is more commonly known, selects its students carefully: each has a special talent for the supremely villainous. Otto Malpense has been chosen for his skills in Global Domination. But, Otto doesn’t feel the need to study when he’s already so skilled. Can he escape? A thrilling story about some unusually villainous students.
HIVE: Higher Institute of Villainous Education Synopsis
H I V E (Higher Institute of Villainous Education) is a top secret school of applied villainy where children with a precocious gift for wrongdoing are sent to develop their talents into criminal mastermind. With villainy comes a certain freedom of thought, and every year one student in particular will show exceptional talent.
Mark Walden’s first book, H.I.V.E., was selected as a winner in Richard and Judy’s ‘Best Kids’ Books Ever’. Paramount has optioned the film rights, and it was chosen as one of ten titles for Booktrust’s Booked Up scheme, which gives every secondary school student a free book. Mark has followed this success with two further titles in the extraordinarily brilliant H.I.V.E. series and was selected as a WBD author for 2009. He is happily married (as is his wife, he hopes) and is the proud father of Megan.
H.I.V.E: Rogue, published by Bloomsbury in May 2010, is the fifth book in the series. H.I.V.E: Zero Hour published in September 2010, is the sixth and H.I.V.E: After Shock is the seventh in the series.
Earthfall, published by Bloomsbury in June 2012, is a 3-D mega-budget action adventure in book form.
