LoveReading4Kids Says
This monochrome picture book tells a funny story in a super-stylish way and brims with child-appeal. Black Cat is entirely black and only goes out in the day, while White Cat is entirely white and only goes out at night. Curious about the worlds they never see, the two cats venture out at different times, meet, and become inseparable. The story is told on alternate pages – black on white, then white out of black and there are patterns and shapes galore for children to spot. There’s a lovely twist at the end, too – you’ll never guess what colour the cats’ kittens are! ~ Andrea Reece

Silvia Borando Press Reviews
Sweet, smart and completely charming, these little books contain very big ideas. -- Junior Junior
Juxtaposition is key throughout this seemingly simple, visually striking book. By using only black and white the focus is always on the visual play between the characters, their backgrounds, the placing of the images on the spreads and the contrasting space around them. Genius! -- Jill Bennet Red Reading Hub
It's a visual treat, a highly stylised, beautiful object to both hold and feast your eyes upon. Also, I love that orange comma - if you buy the book & you should, you'll find out why. Magpie That blog
Visually striking and packed with the adventurous spirit of youth, Black Cat, White Cat explores opposites, new experiences, and the very different but special someone you can share those experiences with. A warm, appealing story with pictures that speak as loud as words... Lancashire Evening Post
A straightforward and playful book revisiting the archetypal encounter of opposites that, through the use of clever, minimalistic graphics, gives birth to a simple and endearing tale of friendship. This book is a sensitive reminder that wonderful things can happen by being curious, open-minded, and willing to leave our comfort zone. Without spoiling the ending, I would dare anyone not to crack a smile as they got to the last page in the story. Inis Reading Guide
