LoveReading4Kids Says
Funny and very entertaining this story of a surprise friendship is set in a forest, beautifully realised by Jenni Desmond. There are gorgeous scenes of trees, earth and early spring skies in rich greens, browns and blue-greens. Through the forest ambles Albert the bear, newly awake from his long sleep and delighted to be reunited with his favourite tree. But something is wrong – Albert’s tree is crying. Why? And how can he stop it? Rabbit and Caribou have suggestions but nothing works until Albert has a quiet chat with the tree, and receives a shock! Albert is an irresistible character, the story is delightful, and the artwork is something very special indeed. ~ Andrea Reece
