Award-winning authors Jon Scieszka and Mac Barnett have teamed up to create a wildly funny story in which a Birthday Bunny turns his very own special day into Battle Day! Battle Bunny has an evil plan to become master of all! But Battle Bunny meets some formidable opposition …How battle Bunny’s plan unfolds is dramatically told in words and pictures.
When Alex is given a silly, sappy picture book called Birthday Bunny, he picks up a pencil and turns it into something he'd actually like to read: Battle Bunny. An adorable rabbit's journey through the forest becomes a secret mission to unleash an evil plan - a plan that only Alex can stop. Featuring layered, original artwork, this dynamic picture book celebrates children as storytellers.
This deliciously subversive piece of metafiction skewers - with sharp wit and a sharper pencil - the earnest, purposeful literature so popular in the middle of the last century. Booklist, starred review
