LoveReading4Kids Says
Award-winning crime writer Tim Wynne-Jones toughly tells a gripping and poignant story of two teens swept up into a major crime. Blink is only a skinny kid who’s on the run and surviving on his wits; Caution is also on the run but from something very different. Full of suspense, the story crackles with danger as the two likeable characters hatch a blackmail plan, the results of which could be calamitous for them both. The wind-down and subsequent change of direction is wholly satisfying.

Blink and Caution Synopsis
Boy, did Blink get off on the wrong floor. All he wanted was to steal some breakfast for his empty belly, but instead he stumbled upon a fake kidnapping and a mobile phone dropped by an abducted CEO, giving Blink a link to his perfect blonde daughter. Now Blink is on the run, but it'll be OK as long as he's smart enough to stay in the game and keep Captain Panic locked in his hold. Enter a girl named Caution. As in Caution: Watch Your Step. She's also on the run, from a drug-dealer boyfriend and from a nightmare in her past that won't let her go. When she spies Blink at the bus station, Caution can see he's an easy mark. But there's something about this naive, skinny street punk, whom she only wanted to rob, that tugs at her heart, a heart she thought deserved not to feel. Charged with suspense and intrigue, this taut novel trails two deeply compelling characters as they forge a blackmail scheme that is foolhardy at best, disastrous at worst - along with a fated, tender partnership that will offer them each a rare chance for redemption. This is a new novel from the award-winning author of The Uninvited. It is a gripping thriller, perfect for fans of fast-paced crime dramas.

'I loved it; it’s certainly one of his best novels yet, if not THE best—which is saying something. The man has penned a slew of excellent books.. What really struck me about this novel was how fresh the voices are, and how skillful the crafting.' Shelftalker Blog, Publishers Weekly

About Tim Wynne-jones
Tim was born in Cheshire and moved to Canada at the age of four. He now lives in the wilderness in Ontario, in a house he designed himself, which sits on 76 acres of rough and tumble landscape, the perfect inspiration for The Survival Game.
Tim began his writing career one summer holiday using a rented Smith Corona electronic typewriter. His first book won a prize, and Tim decided “this writing thing might be fun”.Since then, he has won numerous awards including the Canadian Library Association’s Children’s Book of the Year Award three times; the American Library Association Popular Paperback for Young Adults; the Edgar Award of the Mystery Writers of America for The Boy in the Burning House, and the Governor General’s Award, twice, for Some of the Kinder Planets and The Survival Game.
A few little known facts about Tim:
