A rip-roaring read for 7+ readers with a definite nod to the ‘readalong’ parent with chapter headings such as Tomb it may Concern, Fly me to the Goons and Stake and Flips! Tich and his mates are a bunch of misfits and odd-bods but together they form a gang which - despite their inadequacies - find themselves caught up in a time-travelling adventure to Transylvania to destroy the evil Dracula and prevent vampires from taking over their school. Full of zany humour and bizarre events, the author mixes fantasy with reality in a way that really engages children’s imaginations; what boy (or girl) wouldn’t enjoy a tale where his teachers become blood-sucking fiends and only the motley crew of Tich’s gang can sort it out?
