You can’t have too many potty training books, and this one is particularly charming. This story of Goldilocks starts, as you’d expect, in a wood and with ‘Once upon a time’. But it’s not porridge or chairs that are preoccupying this little girl, it’s nappies, or rather finding the right way to live without them. She needs pants, not too frilly, not too silly, and a potty, not too big, not too small. Despite a few hiccups, Goldilocks soon gets it just right, to the delight of her parents. The world is a bright mix of fairy tale and the real, both depicted in bold colours and textures, and Goldilocks herself is a wonderfully lively character, skipping happily to her potty. ~Andrea Reece

As we all know, potty-training has its highs (BIG GIRL PANTS!, a new potty!) and it's lows (uh-oh!). But with its gentle humour and encouraging, 'keep-trying' message, this adorable book will help set toddlers (and their parents) on the right track to a nappy-free day.
