There’s so much more for young children to learn from this gorgeous board book than just how to count. Rosalind Beardshaw’s two little friends enjoy an autumn walk, and not only do they discover all sorts of wild creatures and flowers along the way, but they try out some of the sorts of things that the National Trust want every child to do: they collect acorns, cross a river on stepping stones, chase falling leaves, pick and eat blackberries and walk under the stars. The second in a series of concept books created for the National Trust, this board book takes very young readers on an autumnal walk through the countryside. With beautiful illustrations from Ros Beardshaw, this elegant little book is a great way of bringing children closer to nature.
Rosalind Beardshaw is the illustrator of Just Right for Chirsmas and Just Right for Two. She has illustrated many picture books for children including Mole's in Love written by David Bedford, A Tale of Two Goats by Tom Barber and Lulu Loves the Library by Anna McQuinn. She ha also illustrated her own stories: Grandma's Beach and Grandpa's Suprise.
She loves creating new characters, expecially if they can be based loosely/wholly on her shaggy lurcher, Basil. She lives with her partner, Al, daugther, Iris and young son, Freddie.
